I have lots of records. I have many copies of Tubular Bells. I purchased this unopened factory mint condition original issue vinyl LP about 15 years ago. It is a perfect 10 on a scale of 1-10. I really do not know how this record stayed in such good condition for so many years. The original sound is way better than the extra compressed remasters to me. They also have a clear sound as original magnetic master tapes can and do deteriorate in time. All they have to try and sell more music to the masses are the tapes, so they do their best to try and clean up the sound, most of the time everything is lost in the dynamic compression. That is what makes gems like this so rare. You or I will never see an unopened LP of Tubular Bells in this condition ever again. That is just facts. A piece of history waiting for the taker to explore just as it was in 1973.
