was watching ss this morning over coffee, and the episode was based on Dune by frank herbert. it even had the moment when paul maud-dib (spongebob) rode the sandworm.

i have a new respect for the art of animation after watching that fine show.

My old pot-smoking friends loved spongebob. Something about his living in a pineapple under the sea. Oh, and Patrick.

Spongebob was AWESOME for the first few seasons. But the good writers must have moved on because now it is just plain stupid.

The best moment in SpongeBob history was when SB and Patrick dried out and died in the movie. It was almost as good as James Kirk buying the farm.

It was infantile dreck.

I found out the other day that Mermaid Man is voiced by 92 year old Ernest Borgnine. I can't help but wonder if they bother to write him a script and whether or not he's acting.

I love Ernie Borgnine and when I noticed it was his voice the show won me over.
