SOLD 08-11-01: Like New AKG-1000 For Sale!

Ok, I have a very close to brand new set of AKG-1000 for sale! Why are they like new? Well, its because I never owned the right amp that it needed. Therefore, we are looking at very little usage, maybe a couple of hours.
So why am I selling it? Well, its because I am saving up money for Cary 300SEI Amp and I need all the money I can get.

So, why am I getting a Cary 300SEI amp when I have the ultimate Holmes Powell DCT-1? Well, I want to get the Cary amp to use for the AKG-1000s as well as for my speakers. So if I sell the AKG-1000s and get the Cary amp, I will most likely get the AKG-1000 again later, hehehe.

But it looks like getting the Cary amp for a good price won't be easy. Currently, I can only find it for $3000+ new

Ok enough about the Cary, these AKGs babies comes with wooden box, beautiful manual, and of course the adaptor.

Headroom sells these for $525 without shipping.
Since mine are VERY VERY LIKE NEW, I will sell mine for $460 shipped.

Just to let everybody know that with a good amp, these headphones are IMHO one of the best for its price. In fact, they are one of those phones that sound extremely natural without the use of crossfeed amps.

The Cary is regularly a/v at audiogon for <$2000 in great condition. Of course, if you are picky about used stuff, then no choice but go for the new ones.
