I did but it was early in the process - if I recall they were similar when using the uDAC as the DAC for both, but the EF2 had more power. With the HD600 the uDAC was strong but the EF2 is stronger, and with the HE-5 the uDAC is somewhat underpowered but the EF2 is powerful enough to do them justice. They both do an excellent job with my UE11Pro to tame/control the bass and fill in the mids.

Hmm, I am seriously considering selling my pico and buying one of these, just to pocket the change, maybe by a T3 for on the go. Tough decisions.

So buy it and then compare for yourself and then sell one or the other

I like to use the digital controls on the apple remote when I watch movies.

This may or may not be a deal breaker, I mean at 99 bucks, this isn't exactly a disappointment of epic proportions.

I am playing Sennheiser HD800 with the uDAC, uDAC can drive HD800 to good volume, and I can clearly identify that HD800 is much superior to the old HD650 I got.

HD800 is an incredible piece of hardware.

I don't have too much to compare it against other than with my computer's onboard sound chipset (Realtek) and with the EF2's DAC and I'm a newbie at describing sound, but I'll give it a shot.

Main thing I enjoy with the uDAC over my other options with the A900's is a nice improvement in the mids, especially in providing greater clarity of vocals compared with the rest of a band/ensemble. There is also an improvement in the depth of soundstage as separate instruments are more clearly separated.

has anyone in Canada purcahse this through NuForce? was shipping cost decent?

it seems there is a canadian distributor for the uDAC, but they haven't replied me for a shipping quote for the past 2 days.

actually just to update..nuforce did email me today about an invoice since i did ask them that i wanted to pay a specific way but unfortunately i already spent my budget so will be contacting them later..so all it took was a bit of patience and certainly not horrible CS

maybe ill wait a bit and buy the red one when i decide to buy it
