One of them was mine and it just sold. It took a while to shift and I lost a little money. I hardly used it as I discovered that my D7000s sounded better through the EF5. The Concerto is a very dry sounding amp, but then I came to realize I like the lush warmth of tubes, or at least hybrids. I would recommend to anyone who's thinking about getting one to try a demo unit if you can (local meetup, canjam, etc.) "Buy to try" seems to create a diminishing return.

My Concerto is one of the 3 for sale. I'm planning on going with a vintage receiver for my SS amp, so the Concerto is on the block. I didn't know Jan had a new amp.

Frankly, I'm glad it's taking a while to sell, as it's still my favorite amp with the LCD-2s.

That's exactly my plan as well to have a vintage receiver as SS amp, but I've always wanted to hear a meier amp.

I'll have a Burson in a week or 2, I wonder what that will sound like ( my first ss besides my actual receiver)
 

I spent a evening with a fellow headfier comparing his Burson (the one with the DAC) and my Concerto (also in the sale forum) and they were extremely hard to tell apart. I thought the Burson was a smidge brighter but he didn't think so...The Burson had more power reserve for sure. Both sounded wonderful with HD650 and Denon D2000.

The great thing about the Concerto is that it sounds superb with all the cans I tried, from sensitive iems to hard to drive cans such as HE-4.
