A plastic screen protector?

When I first got my 2G touch over 12 months ago I applied a "Best Skin Ever" front and back but after a few weeks it started to pick up dust and lint around the skins edges and before long looked like crap so I removed it completely and bought a Belkin silicon case for the back and went au-natural on the front. I take it out of the case about once a month and give it a polish and clean the case inside and out before slipping it back on and my 2G is still in pristine condition with not a mark on it.

Get a invisible shield ,I've tried the one's from ZAGG on various gadgets, phones etc. works like a charm. great build quality and you don't even feel it's there.

If you can wait, get one from here or off ebay:

iPhone 3G Skin

They're all made of the same material by the way, the only difference is invisibleSHIELD is massively overpriced.

Just leave it in the box...

InvisibleShield is terrible. The entire shield is very thick, feels like an orange peel and turns yellow after a few months.

I use PhatomSkinz on my Palm Pre and love it. It's a thinner version of the Invisible shield but provide the same protection without the orange peel feeling. It also doesn't dull out the display and if it ever turns yellow in color (mine hasn't after many months) you can get a warranty replacement for $3.

I was going to say the same. Very good product. It's the same military grade clear protectant that covers helicopter blades.

Get a nice case (your choice, as some like leather - some like silicone or plastic,..... ), and get a screen protector. The back and sides are the most easy to scratch, so get on it ASAP.

If you are not planning on attaching it to an amp then try Vajacases.com
coustom leather cases (not cheap but will outlast the touch with ease)
