iPod EQ question re: Shure 523 / iBasso T3 set-up

OK - have my T3 in hand and my SE530 will be here on Monday. I have read that the best set up is for the EQ to be OFF on the iPod, but does that mean that I just have to turn it off on the iPod, or do I have to reset all the songs' EQ setting that I have placed on the music?

If I need to re-set all the music in iTunes, then it will take awhile...with 10,000 songs - that is all night to run through.

Um.... does the equalizer stuff carry over from iTunes to your songs? I didn't think it did but if it does... then yea, but it won't take long, just ctl + a all your songs then right click, hit edit info or whatever, then change equalizer settings into none.

But yea.... the EQ on the iPods aren't that great :/
