ety er6i

The left side of my Sennheiser CX300s just died recently so now I'm in the market for some new headphones, and I'm not really an audiophile.

I know there is a hundred topics on this already so this is kind of a conformation.

The biggest competition seems to be between the er6i and the Shure e2c's.

I have seen a few people say the er6i's have about the same amount of bass as the cx300's its just a lot cleaner and everything else is a lot better. Would anyone else agree on that?

Or would the e2c's have a more similar amount of bass compared to the cx300's but lacking a little in the mids and highs compared to the er6i's?

I listen to a variety of music Celtic rock, hip hop, rock, metal, hardstyle (techno), trance (also techno).

Also what seems to be the average life span of the 2?
And of course is there something better than both for about the same price?

Where in the world did people say that? The Er6i have very light bass impact compared to almost everything, especially the CX300. If you're looking for big-bass phones look elsewhere - Klipsch S4 is a good choice around the same price as the Er6i. For less money you could go with the Nuforce NE-6, Meelec Ai-M6, or Maximo Im-590. All are a major step up from the CX300.

Er6i don't have a lot of bass, but it's very nice and clean with a good seal. I loved my er6i's until one side went out.
