x2 on the IE8, the sound of the Atrio M5 and the IE8 is very similar but when you compare them side by side, the IE8 has more force and better treble extension, the sound feels more natural and full on the IE8,

as for the UM2, i cant say anything since i have not heard the westone UM2, but if they are anything like other dual armature earphones i´ve tried, i would stick to the IE8,

It's important to distinguish between Amazon, and the "featured dealers" that post on their site. Amazon is a authorized Sennheiser retailer, the featured dealers, typically, are not.

Maybe they're selling fakes, maybe not, but you're taking your chances. Sennheiser won't honor your warranty, either, so I would be very, VERY clear on their return policy.

As for the phones, I love my M5s. They're stern, solid bass performs that still have respectable fidelity; you don't get a sloppy midbass eating the mids and highs the way some bass performers can.

I would order from here Headphones & Earphones | HiFi Headphones Store - iPod earphones, wireless headphones, in ear headphones, Sennheiser headphones plus Grado, Audio Technica & Skullcandy - HiFi Headphones Authorised sellers very helpful if you contact them. £20 more than Amazon but allow you to try the 'phones for 14 days. They do charge 15% if you return them. They will probably ship direct to you if you wish. HTH.

I'll check out this site. I am leaning towards the IE8s because I've read so much about them. Gotta make sure they're not fake tho.
