Is it worth just buying the skullcandies though? I've listened to people's skullcandies, they aren't bad, but I really don't know what to look for.

No, not really. I've listened to a few different models and they were all lackluster.
It's like you say, you don't know what to look for, yet. Try a quality pair like some of the recommended ones and you'll notice next time you try some skullcandies.
Or you can just get the skullcandies and you'll forever wonder what the other cans sound like...

I think if you're really concerned about the look of the headphone, and are at least SOMEWHAT concerned about sound quality... you should get ES7s!! ES7s have to be some of the sexiest headphones mine eyes have seen. Amazon.com: Audio-Technica ATH-ES7 Portable Headphones, Black: Electronics
Probably not the cheapest price, but whatever.

this, if you think SK sound good, then something of non-teenage-mass-marketed should sound really good.
and for a example of what IEM looks like, would be the IE8, im-590, S4, M6, etc-- they are all IEMs. Comfort is pretty subjective from person to person, and the need to get the right fit(different sized tips) but I really like them, and you can't really beat them for portability and sound isolation.

Get the Dennon D1001's, they are good at keeping outside noise out, have good bass, look nice, and are under 100 bucks.

Check out the Klipsch Image S4 or the Klipsch Custom 2. These are great in ear monitors under $100.

Awesome
I like your style. Sexycans LOL
Could you get us a picture of you wearing them
, to get an idea of how big they are. Would it be possible to wear them with glasses on?

Are there any cheaper ones like it? I know the IE6 is only like 250$ but that is still a little much for me. I like how it has a low profile with the ear and the cable goes around the ear.
I might want to get the Etymotic 6i IEMs if they are any good
Are the JVC IEMs good? The jvc HA-FX300B

No I am keeping all the ideas in mind, I love the looks of the ES7s, and I'm seriously considering Sennheiser HD25s and Sony 7056. I am just adding some of my own ideas in to get some feedback on them.
I have been looking around the forums too, is the RE0 and Fiio E1 a good combo?

Read ClieOS's review of the E1. He used the RE0 for it IIRC.

The main issue i have with skullcrusher's, is the build quality, which is a joke in comparison to the competition. the skullcrushers are an 'experience' rather than a serious audiophile's choice. if you want half decent bass, AKG's are good and so are the c-jays and v-jays (so i've heard.
jays headphones, great deals on Electronics on eBay!
on the IEM side if things, if you wnt bass but ood quality as well, forget Sony, go for Ultimate Ears.
