I checked on Amazon.com today and see that IE8 is only 259$ from the seller audio access. Is this real ? If it is, this is a bargain guys >.<! Can any1 comfirm that ?

theyve been 180 quid on play.com so not a huge bargain

wow what a deal!
I've never used amazon.com before but I guess it is real.
Theres some other pretty cheap prices in there too.

Amazon.com: Shure SE530 Sound Isolating Earphones: Electronics

you can get shure se530s for $268

does anyone know if by ordering this stuff from Australia, it would be cheap enough for me to dodge the importation tax?

we dont have any importation tax in Aus as long as the price is less than 1k so yea, it would save alot to import in Aus especially when AUD is high now

Ya quid means pound.

Exchanging by XE.com

180 "quid" ~ 300 "buck" so it's still a steal deal ^_^

there is some IE8 on sale on ebay.co.uk as well, and its price is 145 poud. Is it too good to be true? Maybe I should stick with the traditional way >.<

There are a lot of fakes out there-- beware. Only buy from an authorized dealer. Check with your local Sennheiser office to verify the integrity of a dealer before buying...sales through a non-authorized channel are not typically eligible for warranty, especially if they are counterfeit.

Have you seen a counterfeit, and if so, then is there a way to distinguish a counterfeit from a legit one?
Those are fakes. Amazon sells them for $379 for a reason.

Im interested in that if we import for instant ie8 from UK to Aus, can we have warranty from UK or AUS? And besides, how can I check the dealer on ebay that authorized or not with Senn? Send them the webpage ? This would help me alot to clear all the mystery about getting genuine for future warranty purpose cuz the end of the day, its my money >.<

@kobayashi: if they are fake, why have they still kept them on? Is Amazon some kind of ebay? I dunno but if you want to import it through amazon to AUs, you cant. So i think that they have a reason that to keep that price locally

Audio Access isn't Amazon; they're a third party posting on Amazon. Amazon is selling them for $400

beware of fake IE8, aparently theres a chinese factory which sennhaiser was going to manufacture the IE8 at and in the end the deal fell through, but they make some sort of copy which isnt very good, or thats what i understood from the story,

theres been reports of sellers hosted on amazon selling fake IE8,
price here in spain is 192 euros from 4frags and another Head-fi member reported prices around 175 euros in austria,
