I have an NAD integrated 314 ; it definitely works, as I have run passive speakers off of it and it got pretty damn loud.
I feel like this may be a dumb question; I just got rid of my DAC (which I thought was the issue), and I'm now running a 3.5mm -> RCA straight out of my headphone jack on my laptop.
The only time my amp will send a signal to my headphones is when the RCA input goes to the Main In input on the back of the amp. I would be fine with this, but none of the amp controls work; I have to turn the volume up or down using my computer.
I don't think this is working as intended, and I wanted to know if anyone knew what the issue could be. It's really pretty annoying.
edit :
so I'm running a gamma 1 into the amplifier. The only way I can get the amp to produce sound is when the DAC goes through the main in input, which offers no volume control from my computer or otherwise, it just stays at full volume. When I run the DAC into one of the inputs on the back of my amp (video/aux/cd) no sound is produced at all and I have apparently no control over the volume. Seriously, does anyone have any ideas?
