I have an Oppo 981HD DVD player. It plays DVD with upscaling and onboard video processing. Originally bought it becaues it makes poorly encoded anime dvds look decent. Also plays SACD, and CD. Has optical output, hdmi, 1080 upscaling, and lots of advanced features. This is a very good player. I used this for a CD player hooked up with optical to a DAC and Starving Student amp.

The dvd player recently broke. It will not turn on. Oppo has a $50 flat fee to repair or replace out-of-warranty players. I'm selling this assuming the buyer will buy this player, have it fixed for $50, and gain a very good dvd/sacd player for around a hundred bucks. This is the message from Oppo:
