I think it's not by chance that W3 does the same things as D10 at a very, very similar price (W3's includes worldwide shipping).
unfortunately, I'm afraid Rudi had to have them built in Singapore to be price competitive.

I believe Rudi has produced some portable amp before. But not many head-fiers have tried it. It's certainly a great news to have better and better gears. Just wonder when did iBasso become the number one in headfi? I thought that was IQube?

Great imagination. The W3 is exactly like the D10 iBasso. I have no idea what is inside but the external coax, optical, charge on and off, gain etc are the same. Oh the name is changed. If this were a copy of an RSA (I have seen copies of RSA), HeadAmp, Rudistor etc. by some other company I would find it a cheap way to do a design at the originators cost.

I think he meant the top "ones". There is certainly no number 1 gear in headfi.

The first production units of the W1 and the W3 are on the way to me now, I will be getting them in a few days, and we have already made the arrangements with a headfier that will be lucky enough to review them.

Someone trusty in this community that has done several reviews for other manufacturers and portable amps in the past; so we hope the review will be unbiased and honest at least. We will take a big chance to place our new unknown products against so many others well established in the market for years, so keep an eye open if you are interested...One thing is sure I trust Rudi's ears blindly, till now he had not disapointed me ever...

That sounds great. Looking forward to read more. But I am still waiting to read more about the K3 - would it be better to wait for the K3 before ordering the W3?
So many new things... (And the RP8 is very tempting too...)

I have been playing with the W1 for almost a week now, and will write a small impression on it in a few days against the other ultra-portable amp I have.

I don't think anybody would claim iBasso is number one, but they do have a strong reputation for delivering great sound for very attractive price points - even if they don't quite top some of the more high end amps from the boutique manufactures, they seem to offer quality at least in the same ballpark for a fraction of the cost (T3 vs RSA Shadow f.ex)

Anyway, this is just the impression that I get - I haven't been able to compare their offerings to the competition like others have as the T3 is the only amp I own.

when I wrote 'number ones' referred to iBasso I did not mean to establish a 'top chart', I'm sorry and I apologize if that gave rise to some controversy.
but I think iBasso has sure gained a strong reputation: there are no number ones, but I think it can't be denied they are among the (few) most appreciated brands in portable hp amps.

anyway, that does not matter, it's just my opinion; meantime, I'm lookin' forward to reading the comments about linearossa...

From my last conversation with Uncle Wilson, he told me Jaben really has no hand in RudiStor-Pacific except for selling the amp. It is someone else that is in the partnership - a Singaporean(s) I presume.

Just a suggestion to Linearossa, you guys really have to speed up on your replies. I sent a mail to the email id on the site asking for some more details yesterday and till today no replies.

After a few hours of sending the mail, I sent another similar mail to Ibasso and they replied within 15 minutes ! After a few exchanges I decided to buy the P3 from them and they promptly sent me a Paypal request for payment. I paid them today morning and they have already confirmed that they are going to ship it by today evening !

Now that's the kind of service I really like.
