Hey Andre and kees, i certainly wont forget to le tyou know what i buy and how it sounds (many people on these forums seem to forget that). I could indeed ask for a demo of cyrus and/or benchmark dac1, i just wont to be bound to have to buy it and they would have to send it to me via mail. Its great that I finally have some hcoices.
I will wait for a bit and see if the new bel canto wont be released in the beginning of januari for example.

ps, i also read on the net that the cyrus is a bit bass leight and that worries me because the lower end stax models are not known for their bas and my speaker system isnt all that bass-heavy either. I think theyonly go to 45hz and my poweramp is rather neutral.

if your speakers can't reproduce low bass you just might not feel the lack of bass

You have a point there, however i think the stax headphones can go lower then htat

Hello everyone,
I removed the benchmark becaus, after some reading I think I would prefer the lavry sound (although I am still waiting for a comparative review that iwll appeer at audiomojo shortly, according to someone at computeraudiophile).
I removed the overdrive dac because I cant find any reviews and it is honestly just to expensive.
I did hear some rumors that lavry would do a redesign of the da11 but according to lavry this is not true and they will only redesign the logo.
Still no info on the new bel canto dac3.

just in order to update this thread:
I just bought a used Camelot Technologies Uther V2.0 Mk4 DAC/Pre. It will be arriving soon and I will post how it'll work driving my Gryphon Tabu 2/onehundred amp directly.
