Can someone reterminate my IEMs?

I have a set of nuforce Ne-7ms and the end is messed up. Music sounds fine but the mic and mic button seem to be suffering. Plus, I was never a fan of the curved plug. Can anyone here fix this or at least guide me in the direction of doing it myself?

I am confident you can reterminate them.
If you yourself don't feel confident though, I would suggest finding some DIY store near you. NY should be big enough to find a store that is willing to help you.

Hehe. You'll need a soldering iron, new plug and solder (!). Hot glue is optional.

Can anyone recommend a website to purchase a new plug and tools?

Also, I'm going to have to wire the plug to work the mic part of the headphones as well. I'm really lost with this sort of stuff.

you'll need to make sure you get a 4 conductor plug for the mic. Not too sure how common those are though. if you're in new york, you could make the trip to daleproaudio (22 West 19th Street, 2nd Floor, located between 5th and 6th ave) and see if they have any four conductor plugs in stock. this way you won't have to pay additional shipping fees, which might end up being more than the cost of your plug if that plug is the only thing you are getting. worst case, the people over at dale pro might be able to tell you where else in the city you might be able to find yourself a 4-conductor plug.

you could check ebay or your local hardware store (home depot, lowes) for soldering irons. i have a bunch of solder so if you need I could just cut some off and send that over to you.
