WHY can't I buy nylon multifilament anywhere using PayPal? - Page 2

hey thanks for that Steve, the sender told me ems was delivered or at least transported by fedex, but i checked the fedex site and it didnt recognize the number. auspost however does, looks like it cleared customs on Friday, should be here tomorrow as i expected. well how does that effect you and using ems wirecare? i mean its still not great as there is a 3 day vacant space from the point it starts export processing to clearing australian customs, so to call it tracking is a bit generous, but better than i thought. when i saw the usps tracking info on their site it just reminded me of all the other usps 'tracking' i have ever encountered, but this is somewhat better.

that being said, even though ups express saver has its issues regarding tracking and delivery too, as it can sometimes be delayed/detoured at the last moment when you have hung around waiting for it, due to not being first priority; but its reasonably priced and generally pretty fast, with decent and detailed tracking most of the time. it seems to  be detoured if there are other priority items on the truck going elsewhere on a deadline, this can delay it for 2-3 days, but usually still gets delivered here within the week its ordered

two things to try

http://www.ebay.com/sch/theropeguy1/m.html?_nkw=

the other is to go to a jewelry making store or craft store, or sports store

i just scored some AWESOME super small diameter nylon rope that is very flexible and soft and super cheap from a store that sells beading and necklace making materials

also many stores that sell climbing gear sell all kinds and sizes of bulk nylon and cotton rope or paracord with hollow centers

USPS contracts with FedEx for their Global Express Guaranteed service. But EMS is just postal service to postal service. They probably contract with a number of carriers to fly it to the destination country.

By the way, USPS is in the process of updating/upgrading their tracking system. The other day my carrier was dropping off a Priority Mail package and they're now carrying handhelds to scan the items in realtime a la UPS and FedEx.

It's amazing that they do not do a better job internationally.  Did you get the package?

indeed they are, the lady that delivered it was using one, so perhaps service quality is on the rise.

yeah given the money some of these carriers ask they should have a supermodel deliver me a cold beer with it. it did indeed show up, safe and sound, thanks for asking.

That is great to hear that they are upgrading! If they can get their tracking better organized then I'm sure will add them as a shipping option.

Se and qusp, are you guys currently working on any projects?
