Where could i source feet and knobs?

Hey there,

I'm finishing up my SOHA2, and i'm in need of some feet and knobs for my case.

I have searched a lot but i'm probably using the wrong words for that, and i have only been able to find some "feet" locally but they are pretty ugly and made out of greyish rubber with double sided tape on the top, which isn't quite exciting.

I was able to find knobs on ebay, but there might be other online shops that sells both "feet" and knobs of decent quality (aluminum, wood...).

Question is: Where do you guys buy those parts to really finish your builds?

Thanks

Arnaud

I did a bit of searching as well with my last build and the place I found that I really, really like for feet is Performance-PCs.com --> Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

Great selection of low/mid/high quality replacement feet meant for PCs but which also look great on an a/v enclosure.

As for knobs, my favorite for fit and finish is Goldpoint --> Goldpoint Level Controls

Not a huge selection but very nice-looking knobs. Other than that, the seller hongkongsuperseller on eBay has a great selection and the knobs that I've gotten from him/her seem very high quality. Shipping did take nearly two weeks from the eBay seller, just an fyi. I know others have had better luck (under 7 days).

eBay store Partspipe has a great selection of aluminium knobs, great quality.

For feet check out parts conneXion(one of Head-Fi's sponsors), the have a sale on at the moment and the also have a bargain basement section with a great selection off feet they are clearing out, small selection of knobs also.

I got some nice simple feet from Performance-PCs for my builds so I second the rec above.

THL Audio have some great knobs.

In addition to feet, I also purchase a black delrin switch from Performance-pcs.com.
Thier prices(about 9 months ago for me) made others look higher than a cat's back.

If you just want something to hold your amp off of whatever surface you put it on and protect the surface, radioshack has some cheap adhesive rubber feet that work really really well. They are about 1/4-1/3" tall.

Thanks for the help guys, i will keep all your suggestions handy for my next build, i have ordered one set of knobs from the ebay seller and i'm in contact with parts connexion for a set of feet.

What i find strange is that we have to go to pc shop to source feet, hence the lack of results from my search, didn't think that those items where so hard to come by and on top of that the design aren't that exciting.

I know it's just feet and knobs but a little more originality would be nice

I hear you there. Searching for knobs/feet makes me want to buy a mill and lathe instead...

Glad I am not the only one having a hard time finding choices of knobs and feet. Only reason I have not posted pics of my M3 is because it does not have knobs or feet!

1.4' (feet?) knob is considered tiny, I would classify that as a FREAKISHLY large knob .

I just order the Goldpoint knobs for my M3. Because I have the bass boost feature I needed 2 knobs and I wanted the bass boost to be a smaller knob and wanted them both to match. Those requirements really limited my choices. The DACT ones are nice but yeah spending more on the knobs alone than on the electronics just did not set well with me.

I like a bit more heft on the knobs hehehe :P .... a stepped attenuator feels a lot nicer with a heavy bit of metal

Kewl stuff there, thanx! How expensive is their shipping. I assume they are in China? Is the shipping fast?
