Sansa Clip and ER4p- More bass?

Hello guys,
I have a Sansa Clip and a pair of ETY er4p's. I am looking for a player that has a better Equalizer or a warmer signature for these phones. There is just not enough low end and warmth with this player. I ordered a Fiio e3 amp to help. But, I don't think this is going to achieve what I'm trying to do. The EQ on the Clip is not that great. Any suggestions for a player that meshes well with the ETY sound?

Thanks so much!

you should of gotten the E5 for it's bass boost if you wanted a cheap amp. You could try modding the ER4s.

My suggestion is to get a rockbox-able player... No better EQ or playlist options in existence...

Actually, rockbox for the clip is under development. I even used it, but it crashed during music playback, so I'm not going to use it until it's fully finished.

That's exactly the set up I've been using since this summer. I started using the etys again after I bought my clip so my memory of them isn't perfect but I have to say I think the clip pairs up better with the etys than a few of the other players i've used with them (all sorts of ipods, Iriver clix).

Somewhere between my hiatus from the etys they changed the filter design. I wonder, what kind of filters do you have? I think the older ones had a metal exterior while the newer ones have a turquoise exterior if I remember correctly. No idea if there is a sonic difference but I always thought the bass with the clip was notably better than with the other players I remembered using.

If you're up for it I'd also highly recommend putting rockbox on the clip and playing with the eq.

FWIR the Clip+ has a much warmer signature (but less detailed) than the Clip. YMMV

I wouldn't use a fiio with an ety ER4p. It's already low ohm and highly efficient, the hiss from the Fioo would be unbearable.
