Help. My Cowon D2+ Rearranges All My Songs Alphabetically By Song Title?

On my desktop my music is arranged in 5 folders: 1970s, 1980s, Country, Disco, Dance

When i transfer these my music folders to my D2 it rearranges all the songs alphabetically by song name. What can i do to have the same arrangement as the song order in my 5 folders?

All my music is encoded in FLAC.

Thank You.

You'll have to tag them properly.
There's a tag for track number, I think you're restricted to using that to order them the way you want (on your PC).

First, are you using folder browsing or ID tag browsing?

If ID tags, do this:

Use a program to tag them. I like mp3tag. It's an awesome tagging tool that I use frequently.

You can also use Foobar2000 to add tags as well.

In addition to fields for artist, title, composer you will have a track number field.

If you use folder browsing, tags don't matter. You simply need to rename the file with a number in front of it.

For example, your audio file may look like this:

Luck be a Lady.flac

Change it to this:

01 Luck be a Lady.flac

Okay i used Cowon Jetshell to tag all my music files. Cowon Jetshell is the free software that came with my D2+.

If i use mp3tag will all my tag info get transferred to mp3tag. Or when I tag with mp3tag will i have to start tagging all over again?

Your tags will still be there.
