Will a cheap portable Walkman CD player produce better sound quality than my iPod? - Page 2

I recall many yrs back I bought a Sony Discman D350. On my personal note I reckon this would of been one of the best Discmans that Sony ever bought out and all solid metal as well.

I infact still have mine and its still in tip top condition, though I use my MP3 players more, but dont mind the occasion CD now and again.

Long live the Sony Discman D350

I now have a Philips AX2400. The sound is decent and the device itself is a bit awkward in use. Still, my eye is one a new Sony.

Do these PCDPs require amplifiers?

It makes sense what the guys say about the memory buffer stuff etc. The prob. with my iPod classic is that it starts to skip and blip and ruins tracks.

My favourite portable CD player is the Sony DEJ-01 - the anniversary edition. It still works fantastic and the rectangular flat batteries do too. Love it.

The batteries also work for my Sharp mini-disc - the legendary MD-MT888H which is on a par (maybe off by a whisker) and way more portable and enjoyable to carry around and use
