These cans are not made to be used with a portable amp, you'd be much better off saving for a little dot 3 for these cans.
The rule of thumb with these cans is if the amp isnt worth mroe than they are then its not good enough.
I, for one, totally enjoyed listening to HD600 from AMP3.
I know that it is a DAP but it can serve as headphone amplifier too. The high impedance from HD600 block all the hiss that you get from AMP3.

I'm quite impressed with the SQ of my LD Mk 1 + and my HD650. According to David, he used the HD600 and HD 650 to tune that particular portable amp to handle higher imp. phones.
