Big Bird Rocks

Thread Starter
I've always loved Bid Bird because he is always up beat and full of positive energy. He's one of the great under rated role models out there. I'm not kidding about this: If more people were like Big Bird, we would live in a much nicer world. Big Bird is one my role models out there. He doesn't try to be funny like the other Sesame Street chracters. Instead, he's sincere, honest and for the good. He's great and someone who could be a true friend in need.
I love Big Bird.

Cookie monster would murder big bird and bake his entrails into a delicious cookie of some sort. And I'm talking old-school cookie, not the sellout fruit-lovin' one that seeks to destroy the innocence of youth. OG cookie makes no excuses for his sick addiction and hedonistic behavior.

Plus he's more cuddly:

Fact: On Sesame Street, Cookie Monster didn't eat actual cookies as the oil and chocolate would have made a mess of his fur, so they used brown and black painted rice cakes for him to devour.

Also, for Spareribs, this (scroll down to the last photo).

I couldn't stand Elmo and Big Bird. My favourites were animal then cookie monster. Interaction between Bert and Ernie was fantastic.

From Wikipedia:
"In a 2007 appearance on Martha Stewart's TV program, Cookie Monster explained his new philosophy that "Cookies are a sometime food."

Spareribs - I'll go one further: If more people watched Sesame Street, the world would be a better place.

With the airwaves a wastland of awful ethics and debauchery, Sesame Street is one of the only shows children can watch that will make them better people and not little turds. I am not a fan of little children watching TV, but at least Sesame Street will not make the brain leak out the ears unlike garbage such as Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants.

Sesame Street was and is one of the very best things that came from TV.

^ Haven't watched it in a while, but I was a fan as a kid. They do have some good mainstream TV parodies now though, i.e.:

Sesame Street was born out of psychological research, and has been evaluated over and over again since its inception. There's evidence that it improves both education-related skills (e.g., reading, writing) AND reduces racial stereotyping. Furthermore, as intended, the effects are strong for low SES kids, even when they watch Sesame Street unsupervised. Needless to say, developmental psychologists love Sesame Street.

Barney > big bird.

Besides, purple dinosaurs are so much cooler looking.
