Weller WLC100 in Australia. - Page 2

I had a DSE T2200 back in Australia. It was very good for the price, and I got many successful builds out of it.

My new Hakko 936 is better though......

I just used my new 936 for the first time yesterday... it's very nice. I'm quite surprised to hear they're out of production. Maybe that's why Fry's had them on sale.

It could also be the shop guy BS-ing, because he didn't stock them any more......

I’ve seen a few of your earlier builds on the headphonic site, very nice work indeed Beefy. The DSE T2200 is getting the job done at the moment, I’ll keep the Hakko in my sites.

50ft ago it was something from DSE but now it is some stuff from Jaycar.
Ok when I post you the boards I’ll put a little Cardas Quad-Eutectic solder in, see what you think

I actually have some Cardas Quad-eutectic solder that I got when I bought something, can't remember.

More importantly, today my dad came through for me and 'found' an ideal stepdown at work.
So happy, tested out the iron and it works great. Two days until I can order my AMB stuff (waiting for the sigma25 boards) and then I should be good to build in about 12 days.

You’ve got a top dad there Matt I’m glad you sorted it out!
