I know you're interested in Brazilian stuff but would you mind if I recommended a couple different Jazz albums?

In my opinion, the most creative Jazz album, at least in fusion, is Miles Davis' "Nefertiti". They switched around the rhythm section, so Tony Williams is playing all these abstract and non repetitious drum lines, and the horns are repeating themselves a lot. It's bloody insane, and Tony puts on the best drum performance of all time imho.

Another amazing album is Dave Brubeck and Paul Desmond's "1975: The Duets". Paul Desmond's sax on this album is otherworldly. It's ethereal, and perfectly played. If his saxophone doesn't make you weep you have no soul.
