Upgrade time! ES3X? P3+? Please advise.

Hey, so here is my story:

Rig :

iPod Nano 4G
Westone 3

Currently thinking about upgrading my IEMs to westone ES3X's but i'm wondering if its overkill. I mean all my files are 320kbps (which I can't distinguish from lossless) but i'm wondering what will give me the best next step for SQ. Will the W3s really shine through with a P3+ amp? Will I hear a difference with lossless if I use an amp? Will the ES3Xs really show all the flaws of my source and need to switch up my player?

I really like the form factor of the nano which is why I haven't switched to the iRiver. Since the ES3X is pretty much a no look back kind of deal, I want to make sure i know what i'm looking forward to.

Thanks guys.

Your phone is the biggest update. If you have the budget, go for the ES3X.

That's kind of what I thought.

I saw a huge increase in sound when I upgraded from UM2 to the 3's and then again when i changed my source to 320kbps files. Now i'm kind of leaning to the ES3Xs but want to know that its the right next move. I did see a slight improvement in spaciousness of the sound in the new nanos vs the 4G one that I have so I might go for it soon.
