I don't even do ebay anymore. If I am buying used, I usually buy from forums like head-fi. If new, it is really hard to beat Amazon. Ebay has really gone downhill IMO in the last year or two.

You can certainly retract a bid in the last 24 hours. You can even do it after the auction has ended, even if you are the winning buyer. that is exactly what happened to me as explained above

Yea, this is why I try to stay away from ebay as much as possible.
