5 days till this is officially released, I’m looking forward to it.

“Jones has taken a new direction on the The Fall, experimenting with different sounds and a new set of collaborators, including Jacquire King, a noted producer and engineer who has worked with Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, and Modest Mouse among others. Jones enlisted several songwriting collaborators, including Ryan Adams and Okkervil River’s Will Sheff, as well as her frequent partner Jesse Harris. King also helped Jones put together a new group of musicians to perform on the album, including drummers Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and James Gadson (Bill Withers), keyboardist James Poyser (Erykah Badu, Al Green), and guitarists Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello) and Smokey Hormel (Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer).”

I have reserved it with amazon.co.jp.
Import CD was chosen. (It is not 2 piece sets. )
It's only one bonus track in a Japanese edition.
The arrival is the enjoyment.

She was on David Letterman last night. Not only did the music sound different, she had a new hairstyle and dressed differently too. Instead of the accoustic piano she played an electric keyboard. I almost couldn't tell it was her music. It sounded good and she look stunning as usual.

Heard one cut, Chasing Pirates (name of CD), and like it alot. There are Norah haters, to be sure, but I am not one of them. I also like the fact that she's trying something new, across the board.

Just pre-ordered on amazon.

I've always liked her voice, but found her music boring. It's not just the style she's most known for, even her side projects, El Madmo & the Little Willies, which should be more my speed, have been unimpressive. So, I think it's her. I'll check out this new album though.

I thought some of the songs from her previous album were very good, moving away from the slightly monotonous style on her first album and ended up being quite unique and creative. Am definitely curious to see what has happened now.

Have spun it about 4 or 5 times the last couple days and I really enjoy it. Certainly not a massive departure, but its nice to see her not make the same album over and over. Definitely the least monotonous to date.
