The Beta isn't the least colored Amp I own. And it isn't because of the early complaints of "Mosfet Mist" that early adopters noted some twenty five years back, when they plopped Mosfets in established and existing transistor circuits.

It has a very slight grain at the leading edge and some soft focus on occasion. Bass was good to very good (Never uber fantastic) BUT this is absolutely and ain't worth to much quibble. I have just had a nice wood cabinet built for Amp and PS and upgraded parts through-out. Nice large and well ventilated cabinets! New parts and reduced Eddies have helped! It's in the final listening stages and the small issues I had have for the most part disappeared. It started out life as a Balanced Hoppin' Rockhopper now it's re-born!
