The other one (Wet Dream) isn't too bad either.
Rather interestingly, the track 'Cat Cruise' from it is most definitely the precursor of 'Wearing The Inside Out' from Division Bell.

I find it interesting that a lot of folk that like Floyd have such a strong divide between how they feel about the solo works of each member.. I for one can't get on with Dave's albums-On An Island did come across as being very boring, almost tedious.
The combination of the Waters-Gilmour was like Lennon-McCartney, in some ways - certainly at its best as a combination. Some people (like you apparently) feel that Gilmour's solo work was not interesting/creative enough. Some people (like me) feel that Waters solo stuff is basically overly dramatic poetry set to weak music with really bad signing

I think Gilmour benefited form Waters lyrics, and his musical influence. But I actually really like Gilmour's own music, different from PF as it is. The difference is that Waters, while a highly creative guy, just doesn't really sing very well and is only a tolerable musician. Gilmour is a very talented, soulful singer and guitarist, and, well...I am into singing and guitar playing more than clever lyrics. Some people are more into lyrics, and that's all good.
