Does DHL reload their trucks mid-day?

I'm expecting DHL package. It arrived in my city today but the tracking doesn't show that the package made it on a truck today. I called in and they said that it would probably be loaded around noon. Is this even true? Do courier trucks get loaded again in the middle of the day?

My impression is that if it doesn't make it on the truck in the morning, it isn't going out that day.

I know fedex and UPS don't do that..... I've not used DHL at all though.

well, they didn't and it never made it onto the truck yesterday morning. They don't know what happened so tracking today says that it is with a truck...finally...
