i find it shocking , how few people have tried the hifiman products , and how many people have tried/bought iems from all the major companies who many times have way inferior products at much higher prices

oh , the power of mind-manipulative advertising....

What? Sure the Price/Performance of their products are great, but the RE-0 is built like a $5 IEM.

For the money, considering value added...

JH5+ Ibasso T3 (best sound you can put in your ears for $500)
W3

Enjoyed both JH13 and JH16 as well but find the JH5 a MUCH better value in every regard. Prefer JH5 over JH13 but not JH16 but JH16 is not $800 better than JH5.  Maybe $150 better.

This is how I rank what I've heard so far:

TF10  >=  GR07  >  CKM500  > GR02 Bass >  GR06  >  UE350  >  SE215  >  X10  >  GR99  >  HA-FXT90  >  Meelec CC51 > UE500 >  CW31 > HA-FXC51 > Monoprice 8320 >  JVC Marshmallows

Biggest disappointments:
X10 and HA-FXT90

Worst fit:
TF10, Monoprice 8320 and HA-FXT90

Best brand:
Vsonic

Worst brand (I have not liked anything I've heard from them):
JVC

I'm with you on the FXT90, they weren't any where close to being as good as I thought they'd be after all the positive reviews.
