FS: MINT COWON S9 32GB 1 MONTH OLD - Page 2

a word of caution, this guy told me he is from Wisconsin(even gave me an address, but no name) before I backed out. And to another member he told he is from Japan.

So yah, there is obviously something fishy(unless he suddenly decided to move to Japan) and I would request the administration to look into it before anyone gets scammed.

I asked him for ebay check out, not getting any reply yet.

I assume ebay would cover my loss if it is a scam........right?

well you would have to dispute i think. firs tthey want u to try to work it out with the seller so it may be some time and hassle to get your money back. im not sure though, never had to dispute.
i would recommend staying away. he seemed nice enough but if hes telling ppl different locations with zero feedback.... well its up to you. good luck i suppose.

FYI... newegg.com is selling this for 199 free shipping.

No, telling different peeps different locations is terrible. A big fat "Stay away" and anyone attempting to purchase after reading these last few posts is taking a huge risk. A shame really.

No doubt I will get my money back through Paypal but I am rather upset that he had me waste my time like this. I gave him the benefit of doubt but never heard from him after making payment.

Hope you don't have to go through a lot to get your money back. Thought PayPal only cover the fund they can recover if it is not eBay checkout. If somehow the seller has not linked his credit card to PayPal, it means you are only eligible to fund from papal.

Anyone have similar experience?

He told me he lived in Boston.

Well, I filed a dispute before the fund's fully transferred to his bank account. From what I heard from Paypal it takes 3~4 business days for him to withdraw the fund. If there's any dispute in between fund will be held by Paypal until it is resolved. Hoping to get my money back ASAP.

did u read anything we wrote on these two pages? trusting someone with no feedback is fine if they arent telling every person a different location. i hope you get your money back or u get the item as described... but really... try not to be so trusting... it will save u a lot of stress and money in the long run.

I was in the beginning of this thread when I submitted a payment to him. He asked me to communicate via regular email sending me bunch of emails so I didn't bother to read the thread but then as soon as the payment was made, he vanished. Luckily, Paypal recommended me to file a dispute before the fund's transferred to his bank account.
