... too early, IMHO.
The seller has not deserved this yet I think. Maybe later.

That' terrible, would've refunded the shipping cost if i was the seller. Don't blame it on the shipping company, it's not that hard to organize a shipment. With my experience for EMS, they never "hold" packages for a week for no reason.

Did you try the same shipping number on the UPS (or even USPS) website? iBasso shipped my D2+ Boa EMS -> USPS, and after it left China, the EMS site had no information for the tracking number. However, on the USPS website, there was an extension of tracking info if you plugged in the same tracking number usable on the EMS site.

I think that this terror framed your response from the start and you really jumped the gun. I've gotten numerous pkgs from China and in most cases the pkg arrived before the tracking number entered the system.

Second tracking number shows nothing in UPS tracking. Assuming its another EMS number.

EE*********HK (9 digits removed)

First number is the same and ends in CN instead of HK and has moved all the way to Guangzhou today! But he gave me a second tracking number and has not explained why. Apparently I will have to be proactive again and ask why and what is going on.

I must say that I live in Ireland but I am American. I was not raised to be a patient consumer and this seller has been less than transparent about what has happened over the last 12 days.

I no intention of giving negative feedback at this point. I just want to know where my friggin amp is 12 days after I bought it!

Sometimes patience is all that is needed.
I myself bought an item on eBay October 24th, received a tracking number October 26th. But it took an additional 12 days before there were any parcel movements...

Counterpoint: You are grossly impatient, it has to be said. I honestly believe your own fear has drawn you to the very thing you didn't want to happen. Just leave it for a couple of weeks, and if nothing shows up, ask for a refund, then buy the amp elsewhere.

Head-fi is not your personal soapbox to vent about a perceived (at this point) issue. I would caution you to let it go for now and report back in a week or so with progress.

Where you are from and how you were raised is not the rest of the worlds issue, it is yours alone. I was raised in New York but do not feel the need to lash out when shipping is delayed. I recently had a battery come after 29 days of waiting from China. Conflicting messages regarding shipping and a mistaken request for payment even though I paid immediately upon winning the ebay bid. Stuff happens take a deep breath and move on.

I must say it does seem a little impatient. If he has posted it, then both you and him are at the mercy of EMS. If it's shipped via boat, then it'll most likely be in a batch. Could be that a batch was delayed or there was trouble at EMS's end hence the new tracking number.

To be fair, he has replied to you each time and given you all the info he has. If he was out to con you, he'd been long gone by now. Sometimes things take longer, I waited 5 weeks for some shirts to arrive with me from the US simply because the post got backlogged. That's just the way the world works.

With that in mind though, I bypassed Ebay and bought my Little Dot MK III straight from a Head-Fi member today for £120 shipped (he's British)

I would read closely and heed the advice jp11801 has given you. You are way over the top here.

I agree with Currawong. When I purchased my Audio-gd Compass, The tracking number only apeared on the EMS website 8 days after it got shipped and said nothing more relevant than "Package picked up" until I actually received it.

This thread reminded me of why I don't sell stuff on ebay.

I just received a LOD off ebay. It took six weeks to arrive from the payment date. No problems for me- waiting is a fact of life with ebay. The seller, who is also a member here, wrote 2 weeks ago apologising for the delay and said it had been posted.

Dear hifikanon,

You have entered a second tracking number into the shipping details of the item in ebay which is EE*********HK but this new number once again shows "No information for this tracking" on the EMS website.

Yet you originally gave me EE*********CN as the tracking number.

Could you please tell me which one is correct? It has now been 12 days.

jp11801 I am just documenting my experience in buying an amp from China from this seller.

Because in the end if we all want to buy a little dot amp we cannot go down to our local Best Buy and pick one up. We have to deal with sellers on ebay. Even the little dot website recommends their seller to you!

In creating this thread I have learned that I am not dealing with an authorized dealer of Little Dot... Should this be the lesson? Do I even have a warranty because I tried to save $10 on the cost and a bit more on shipping costs?

Day 13 is tomorrow... it might come to my doorstep! or better yet! it might actually leave China!!!

Its people like me who complain that makes business smoother for the rest of us.
