Yeah, got mine TF10 Pro reshelled back today! And yes, they're great! Good seal, good fit, good sound... okay tested them about 30 mins... more to come

Artwork is done really fine.

I'm deeply impressed how cheap, fast and good Fisher can do these remolds. Usually it's a triangle:

cheap + fast is never good
or
cheap + good is never fast
or
fast + good is never cheap

But Fisher does it all



Better pics will follow when i have the chance to use the Canon 5D MK II of a friend...

My TF10s was done and they should be here tomorrow. Would be a great time to compare the remold SE530s with TF10s.

After so many posts bashing the quality of Fisher's reshell, it's nice and assuring to know that yours look great and have good fit and good sound. I'm anxiously waiting for mine. (EAT: the week after Feb 19). This will be the longest 2 weeks I have ever experienced.

I was really hoping to hear from Kaysen. It's been almost 2 weeks since she told me that she would be sending me one of the black cables to replace the broken clear cable I got from them. Sounds like there's been some confusion on whether or not she actually shipped one.

I'm also planning on trying out the old clear nail polish trick tonight in hopes that I don't have to send the left back. I'm going to take a closer look at the impressions they sent back to see if the mould matches the impression, and if so can I just get a redip to make the fit a little more snug, or will I need a new impression.

I'd just call them every day until they actually ship it.

BTW, Kim called me about my refits today. It was nice that he was taking care of it and took the time out of his busy day to personally give me a call and give me a heads up about my refits before he sent them out so there would be no confusion when I got them.

They will be here on Friday. I am really hoping that my issue was solved. Hopefully by trying to remold to fix it they didn't somehow make it worse!

Hopefully, though it's certainly been known to happen.

The sound quality of my remolds isn't the greatest but at least they're balanced now. The UE5EBs were never great IEMs to begin with but my hope was to get a cheap set of customs for the gym that I didn't mind being tough on. The total cost was under $200 for new IEMs, cables and the reshell.

The main problem is that the sound is very congested and bloated. Not a lot of separation between instruments. They'll be fine for the gym but I'm hoping for a lot better from my UM TF18s with TWag cables.

Did reshelling the SF5 EB make it worse (or better) or is it pretty much the same as before in terms of SQ?

A bit worse SQ. I think that Fisher got in over their heads with these. They're clearly not very experienced when it comes to IEM reshells and FAR less talented and technical when compared to other companies.

If they bug me too much, I'll just send them to UM to have them reshelled. Until then, I'll just EQ the heck out of them. UM does them in a different way and puts the air vent in a different location. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/u...7/#post5982358

is your custom filled with acrylic? just noticed that UM remold have the drivers held up in place by the soundbore. not by acrylic.

Certainly not filled with acrylic because the dynamic needs to vent. They appear to be held in place by the bores. They sound just fine after some liberal EQing so I'm just going to leave well enough alone. They're perfectly fine for working out or sleeping which was their intended purpose.

Alright, just got mine in today. I think fit is pretty damn good. They are very snug inside my ears. I hope I dont get any surprises later. Anyways, sound sig pretty much remained the same I think. Now here's the thing, I was thinking the comply tips were enhancing the bass "before remold". I really did not like the large amount of bass present in TF10's. Now after the remold, somehow the bass is even more enhanced, I believe. Probably because of better fit. But after some drastic eq'ing, they sound pretty good. Pictures will come tomorrow hopefully

Man these things are bass monsters

Going to have to agree with you on this one. Judging by the updates on the less than stellar quality on these, they seem to be over whelmed by the response.

At least they're trying to make things right (hopefully they're paying for shipping both ways). regardless, I can see how this can be a turn off for potential customers (such as myself).

unique melody seems to be on top of their game. going to see if i can get a cheaper rate by sending within nation during my friend's trip.
