What's particularly touristy in the DFW area that's a must-see?

Also is the 5 PM end time a strict adherence? Might be nice to have an extra hour or so.
Glad to hear you are in for sure.

We can be there longer than 5PM, but not much of that time will be listening. We have to be out the door by 6PM no questions asked since that is when the library closes and the room has to be put back the way it was before we got there.

I think official tear down took about 30 mins last time, so, yeah not much extra time available.

I booked my hotel a couple days ago so I'm good to go. Asr, not sure where you are planning to stay but last year I stayed at the aloft Plano about 1 mile north of the library (meet loc) and was very satisfied. I picked up some breakfast at the ihop about 2 miles southeast then trekked back northwest to the meet.

Looking forward to it.

Great new. I received a large batch of HE-5 headphones in so we will have at least one at the meet for everyone to addition. I will have more information about purchasing a pair along with a V3 cable directly from us on the APS site shortly. This will be a great opportunity for anyone who doesn't already own a pair and wants an upgrade cable. The price will be significantly less and the headphones will ship directly from APureSound.

Those sure are beautiful cans. I admit I wasn't sure which ones you were referring to so I had to look them up. No doubt these will likely be the only ortho at the meet judging from last years assembly. I'll have to read up on people's comments about them.

Do these use standard amps or do they require energizers like stats?

They are made by HiFiMAN. They just use a standard amp. I will bring a few amps with me for people to try them with. I may even bring more than 1 source.

I should be able to come. Is it possible one of the HE-5's will have a balanced cable?

No problem. I will bring both a balanced and single ended cable for the headphone.

Where are you coming from? Maybe someone is going through your area and wouldn't mind picking you up on the way.

Ha Raez, you could have waited on the HE-5 for the meet. That's what I'm doing.

This is cool. I really wish I could go because I'm just now getting into good quality headphones but I'll be in Austin for university by this time in January.
