Help finding CA1458 replacement

Hello Fellow DIYers,
I have undertaken a job to bring back a Marshall 5205 amplifier back to life. I need some op-amps that are direct replacements for CA1458. I have heard of some having great success with putting in MXL1013 but those are unfortunately no longer produced by Maxim IC. I was hopeing some of you DIY wizzs could help me out. I will be installing a DIP socket so I am basically looking to buy a bunch of different op amps to test with.

I have uploaded the schematics here: http://img.techpowerup.org/091105/5205.gif if you want to get an idea of how this amplifier is laid out.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers,
Frederik

Intersil CA1458 is so old that almost any modern opamp will be a better replacement. Look at 5532 and similar opamps recommended for audio.

Guitar amps aren't about fidelity.

As for the original question, no flipping idea. Try asking at some other forum, like prodigy-pro or diyaudio.

NE5532 seems like a safe bet. Why do you want to change opamps? Are they fried?
