Bought a desktop from Lenovo Outlet
Hey guys,
I've been to a seminar and when I was asked what my dream job was, I simply answered that I love music and sound so I want to just talk about audio stuff and a week alter, I get asked to consult the place which direction to take this place in terms of audio stuff. After a consultation of requirements, I want a cheap and simple PC setup that will handle most of their processing (they have a Mackie Micro 1202 mixer for Mics), rest can be handled by a simple EMU0404 PCI.
So, if anybody has a cheap PC to sell, let me know. The main requirement is a valid O/S. I would prefer a decent system in the $200-$300 range with XP or Vista.
I will be buying and setting this up for the center and I although I'm completely willing to spend whatever it takes to get the setup up to par, I don't want to blow a fortune unnecessarily.
It just has to be "semi-decent" and have at least 2 PCI slots free (or filled with something decent). I was planning to throw in an EMU 0404 PCI for recording and playback and a half-decent video card for projector output.
Any help, recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated, this is out of my pocket for a cause I believe in.
Thanks
