Magnatune appreciation thread

Thread Starter
Just signed up for a Magnatune download membership...I swear, I'm like a kid in a candy shop. Maybe it's just that I'm obsessed with the Baroque (one of their better genres), but this is exactly what an online music shop should be. It's so exciting to find a label that's not stuck in the '60s.

Anyone else care to share experiences with them?

I first knew of Magnatune about 7 years ago when they were featured in 'Linux Journal' (Radio Paradise was on the same issue, I believe), I've been a supporter ever since. IMHO their rock, jazz and blues releases are not that good, but the Classical and Electronica are absolutely great.

I don't have a suscription, but when you buy an album you get to download it in several formats, including wav; and you get album artwork as well.

In short, I love Magnatune!!

Thought I would ressurect this old thread. Magnatune offers a nice selection of music. I have been listening off/on for the past couple of years. Just took out a lifetime download membership which can be done for as little as $250. Unlimited downloads, WAV, FLAC, MP3 & etc for download options. Album artwork included. They encourage you to share your music with others. Nice selection of artists you aren't likely to find elsewhere. New artists and albums added regularly. Just a very nice music service at a very reasonable price.
