NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...
When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...
Synopsis: The Aurisonics AS-1b is a very nice custom-fit monitor with a sound tuned for the needs of professional musicians performing on stage. It gives the listener a mid-centric sound that...
HiFiMAN HE400
By now I think most of us are familiar with the history behind the HiFiMAN HE-series headphones. What started with a single model has grown into a full...
I was in Japan and was looking at headphones to buy. I had a cheap budget of about 4000 yen or circa $40. I bought this headphone because it was on sale for $30 and was very good looking. It was...
Dr. Dre `The Chronic`
Jurassic 5 `Quality Control`
Also, many modern rock albums and remastered rock albums will more than likely have ridiculous amounts of compression (loudness war) so try to find either old cd's, or albums that are not under the influence of heavily compressed editing styles.
Yes I have been buying the remasters. The Stones Let it Bleed and hot rocks sound amazing. I have most of the Mo-fi collection (rock) on gold CD. The Chronic remastered sounds amazing as does the remastered 2pac and N-BIG ready to die.
I just need some fresh stuff to check out
I do not listen to the Radio so. I am not sure what is new, good and most importantly recorded well.
These are not the most recent offerings from these bands. Is the sound quality good?
Oh ya, you will not be upset with either the recording or quality of music. Like most hip hop, there is sampling and the cracks and pops can be heard, but it does not stand out like many samples do.
I think you will dig Absentia...they are regarded highly in the progressive rock scene...a good mix of rock, heavy rock and slower tempo stuff...PT opened my eyes to a whole new genre of music and I haven't looked back!
IMO In Absentia didn't have the best sound, however - the DVD-Audio release is slightly better but they seem to improve with each DVD-A. Deadwing sounded better than IA, FoaBP sounded better than Deadwing and Lightbulb Sun sounded better than either of them. Can't wait for The Incident DVD-A, but you can get the CD - it sounds good - lots of dynamics.
