Something like AKG K26P

HI

I need your advice on buying new portable headphones(not buds) for electronic/club/trance music. 3 years ago I picked up the AKG K26P headphones and was mad in love. I loved most the

1. fulfilling bass,

2. up front and direct sound, never felt like pushing them against my ear, they pressed well on my head, and didn't have a huge piece of foam in-between.

3. closed back, so I don't worry about annoying all people around me, and I don't hear them,

4. the small size and foldable design, I don't like huge boxes on the sides of my head.

So when they recently broke down, I wanted to buy them again, but they were no longer in production and were replaced with the newer AKG 400's. so I went ahead and bought the best one, the K 450. unfortunately they didn't fit on my head!! when I compared them the K26P, they have been significantly shortened, I usually wear the K26P on full extension.
I did go through the threads of this site for 2 hours, and at the end it felt like its gona be a grado 80's, but after googling some images, they seem a bit too big for portable use, and don't look foldable, because i usually throw them in the backpack.

So please I would appreciate your advice on what to purchase, maybe you know something with the properties am looking for.

Thank you.

akg k518's. Not exactly Grado rivaling in terms of detail and subtlety, but they kick like nothing else, certainly nothing within 2-3 times the price.

I was going to say K81/K518 as well, but they also may not fit your head - I have to use them with a fully extended headband, unlike every other headphone I own.

What is the most you're willing to spend?

Edit: looks like quite a lot. Perhaps the ATH-ES7 will fit your needs better. They don't collapse, but they do fold flat and they aren't very large.
