When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

Everything is just way more clear and I can hear sounds that I never noticed before.
I know that I can make it sound even better but my budget just didnt allow that at this point, but I will probably make some improvements here and there in a couple of months or so.
But for now it rly sounds great imo.

Here are some photos of how my new setup looks now and of how my complete desk line-up is.
Hope you guys like it, atleast I do xD |
Next step is to put the speakers up on stands so the tweeter is at or just a little above your ear level. And aim the speakers in by 15-30 degrees or more so they are aiming towards your listening position.

Sweet! The KRK being front ported is a huge benefit for your setup. You have no space allowing for a rear ported speaker.

My neighbours are starting to hate me already so thats a good sign xD.
Still got a little question though for the people that also have this sub: the box says that it has a removable protective grille, but I just can't find a way to get it off :P
It would look much nicer withouth the grille cuz the yellow woofer is just plain sexy and will match my monitors, but I would like to know what the best way is to get it off withouth wrecking the sub.
I removed the grille from my Z-2300 sub before by using a hairdryer to loosen the glue, is the krk grille also glued to the woofer box? Or is another mechanism used?
I'm very happy with the performance of this bass monster though, it was defenitely worth the money.
Hi,
I am buying new sets of speakers - KRK RP5 + rp10sub and i will use them primarly for music. I am glad someone else already started the discussion so i have a lot of questions already answered. However i do want to use balanced cables because i probably wont be upgrading speakers again in future, and right now i have the money for it.
I figured i need a DAC, i still want to make price as the low as possibile so what would be the cheapest DAC to connect xlr cables, i will probably buy some passive volume control (TC LEVEL PILOT seems nice) so i would just get DAC to use balanced cables.
I have 1 more question since im not sure about this one. Does DAC works as an external sound card and if the speaker setup goes like: monitors > sub > DAC > pc
When i buy this, i will order everything online because i live far away from the shop and its the best solution, thats why please state models exactly so it will be easier for me to consider what to pick. Once i have everything set, i will probably ask you to confirm if everything is right before i make the purchase.
I appreciate your help and sorry for asking questions again and again but its very confusing if you're new to this :)
