Are the UE 700's any good I was looking at them and they caught my eye, what are the better alternatives for that price range.

from MaoDi's review, they seems to be quite good. What type of music do you listen too, and maybe a budget might be helpful. There are tons of IEMs these days, you just need to find one that will fit your musical needs.

They seem to be quite good from the limited session I had with them. I think they sound cleaner and more transparent than the triple fi 10.

Well I think I am going to get these, I have always wanted a pair of IEM's and I think think these will be a good starter pair.

The UE700's are well performers in it's class, but if you could stretch that budget to the $280 ish, you could pick up a pair of UM2's which in my view offer a better overall sound experience. Lows are more powerful, mids are smoother richer, highs are detailed and clear but not as bright and crisp as the UE700. But yes the UE700's are a very good choice for listeners, however before you take the plunge. There's the q-Jays...which i still can't till this day ignore as long as it exists with the UE700. Unless you're going after that "Wow" and U shaped signature for $50, the q-Jays is just an overall better deal.

Same, I listened to them for about 10 minutes at a local store, and was impressed. They are very crisp and clear, and bass is punchy.

Well I will take a gander at these other selections and take them into consideration.
