Sony Walkman, A818 vs S544

Hi guys, I'm looking to pick up a sony walkman as my next mp3 player. I was wondering if anyone here can give me their impressions on the A818 and the S544. I understand that the A818 was considered to be a great player when it came out a couple years ago, but wanted to know how it stacks up today, mainly against the S544 in terms of sound quality.

Also, I'm currently using a Sansa fuze and was wondering if the upgrade to either of these 2 walkmans would be worth it in term of sound quality. So if anyone could give me their impressions of these 2 walkmans vs the Fuze also, that would be great.

Thanks guys

I had the A818 and the Fuze. I preferred the Fuze over the Sony when the eq is flat. The Fuze also had a bigger soundstage than the Sony. One thing I hated about the A818 is that it hissed. If you like to play with the eq, the Sony would be a decent upgrade. If you don't, just stick with the Fuze and install Rockbox.
