Proper technique for soldering cardas sennheiser plug?

I'm in the final stages of gathering parts to re-cable my sennheiser hd650s. Today my cardas sennheiser plugs arrived, and I'm sort of at a loss. I guess I was expecting to see something more like a mini jack or something. What is the proper way of soldering the wires to these plugs? I was thinking of maybe heavily tinning the wire, putting it inside the small tube, and then applying head to the outside with a soldering iron. I'm just not sure what the best way is to do this, and am heavily erring on the safe side because cryo-parts mentioned on their website that these plugs can be easily damaged if overheated. I did some searching but got frustrated by the 30-second rule before I would find an answer.
