Yes, it's against the rules for a MOT to comment about their own products in a thread, unless specifically asked a question. But, it's clearly obvious that she's new to this and Jude cleaned up the thread and sent out messages to the appropriate members. Standard operating procedure. But why would you go extreme and say that you will never buy a product from a specific sponsor here, due to something that was clearly a newbie mistake.
We've all done this. Everyone should be so lucky to have a spouse that would stick up for her husband, like that,
The world would be a better place in my opinion. Certainly better that my ex-wife, that would take every opportunity in public to put me down in front of friends and acquaintances, knowing that she could never win a fight when it was just me and her.
One action should not ruin years of hard work, doing right by the members.

She's a newbie, with a slight language barrier and really has no part in his business. I'm sure that Jude pointed the rules out to her.
I'm not making excuses, except to say, that I'm pretty sure that it was a newbie mistake, spoken out of anger from what she saw at RMAF.

I don't know if any of this is fact, because it is the first time I've heard of it, but it were to happen again, then I can see you re-issuing your statement.

For right now, everyone gets one "gimme".
Of course the option is all yours.

But you are making excuses and I subscribe to Jade's position. Even if the HE-5 turned out to be better, I would not buy anything from head-direct.
Sure they are a premier sponsor of this forum, but doesn't excuse them for acting the way they did. And you defending her as a 'newbie' is flawed as those who have been at the meets, canjam, rmaf, etc know that she is quite involved with head-direct and has been for a long time.
If everyone started using this forum to vent their anger or displeasure then surely this place would go to all hell.

Looks like I missed all the action!

All angry wives aside, I think it's more important to get back everyone on the edge of their seat awaiting the Audeze LCD-2.

Last time I checked, Mrs. Fang wasn't a headphone... Or is she?

It would be poor taste on my part if I were to reply to that, as much as i'd like to..

The LCD-2s are still 2.5-3 weeks out from release since we last got word.

I can't wait for the end-all be-all shoot out, whether a "winner" is determined or not, so to speak. The comparison analogy being formed in my head is how people compare the D7000 vs the DX1000. Seems like the HE-5s have a bit more dynamics and tautness, while the LCD-2 has more low end extension and fun factor. That's just edu-macated guesses based on what I'm reading.

Hmmm, it's getting more and more tempting to place an order for the HE-5. The least the fellows from Audeze could do is leak some photos of the new headphone design, that is, if they've redesigned it yet.

I will say this, and then I will let it rest.

Almost every manufacturer or distributor on this site has had to have at least one warning about stepping over the line and posting in places where they should not be posting. I know this because I am part of the team that explains to MOT's or future MOT's, where they crossed the line, and show them where in the TOU, they need to take another look. Ones with far more tenure then in this particular case.

Does this mean that we should not buy from any of these companies?
It would leave a very small list to choose from.
As always, it is your choice to decide.

To me the point is that it isn't crying foul against a company's business ethos... Fang quickly responded to the posts, apologized, explained that his wife wasn't speaking on behalf of the company, and said that his product's success would be judged by its buyers. That is the company's business ethos. I don't think that you should blame the business, with its perfectly reasonable and amicable spokesperson who is a well-respected and well-liked member of the head-fi community, for one person's rantings which were quickly and clearly rebuffed.
