Rap Translated!!! hehe - Page 2

The way I took it his comment was meant to be a tongue in cheek play off the dialog in the "translated" video and not meant to be taken literally. (edit: nevermind, I was mixing up Duck's with applaudio's comment)

Though, in my estimation, the whole idea of a freestyle battle is to trash talk the opponent and most include threats of violence. I wouldn't be surprised for a millisecond if this type of occurrence is a common one.

Your commend irked me because you came off fairly smug in your prejudice. To make such inflammatory negative assumptions about these people and events, it's not right even with the stigma rap has.

So a guy gets punched in the face and it evidences the inherently overt violent nature of these people and the commonality of fighting in these events? I didn't even see everyone start stabbing each other and devouring the flesh of their enemies. Do fights never break out at rock concerts, restaurants, or hannah montana fan signings?

There's a difference between trash talking and actually fighting, otherwise most rappers would just pull out their guns instead of singing it out. I won't deny that stigma of animosity and violence is there, but not to the extreme extent many people seem to think. Folks wouldn't continue to attend these things if people were getting badly injured or killed regularly. (Okay, maybe the crazy ones)

So I think overall, this is somewhat of a misunderstanding. I was commenting (or at least, trying) with a similar style if dialogue from the video/applaudio's comment. This backfired, so I shall subsequently shut up :|

If you didn't mean it, then I apologize. (Though you should have clarified in your responses, they came off as if the negative connotations in your initial comment were serious, regardless of word style)
