I'm not entirely sure, but from what I've noticed it seems like BA drivers are self-contained and would not benefit from the sonic properties of wood. Dynamics on the other hand aren't so their sound waves can resonate and reverb off the wood.
Just some thoughts, someone please correct if that's wrong.

Judging from the amount of R&D made in other areas like darthbeyer.. denon..sony r10.. much research have been done on their wood housing.
