Still early, but I hope that turns out to be true.

Lol, brain fart no clue why I typed Boston. Yeah they played the Twins.

I really don't see the Yankees being able to win a game in Philly. Girardi could not manage/control his bullpen tonight and it only gets harder when there is no DH. With Pedro starting tomorrow, I think if the Phillies are able to score early they will be in good shape. In addition, what is with the Yankees fans leaving early? I would be extremely disappointed if Phillies fans did that. I would call them out at a game.

Fair weather fans. It didn't go unnoticed by the players though.

I heard Chase Utley say something about this after the game.

Is Hawaii really as crazy as the press makes it sound about the Phillies because of Shane Victorino?

Any Hawai'i boy in the Majors will have a huge fan base in the islands. It's just the way our culture is. My dad has been a Yankee's fan since I was born but I'm sure he's still cheering for Victorino as well.

I have to root for the NL because I am a Cards fan, but I really hate both teams, the Yankees slightly more. I'm sort of hoping for an earthquake on this one.

Lee is a freakin' sick pitcher. that cutter is off the hook.

Yeah, let's just hope he's still in the zone when he pitches Game 4 or 5. I mean, if you are a Phillies fan. Judging by your locale, I'd say not. Sabathia looked tired to me, and he threw a lot of pitches. He got out of that first inning jam because Ibanez swung at ball four. He did settle down, but still, Utley took care of all the runs the Phillies needed with Lee.

And I like the fact that Manuel left Lee in to finish. Even my Yankee fan friends admire that, rather than bringing in a closer. Some throwback baseball, and I am sure Lee was good with it.

Sabathia threw a lot of pitches, but he looked pretty good for most of the game.... just not compared to Lee.

That is a lot, and he certainly will not match last night's performance. He was the first ever pitcher in history to throw a complete game, 10 strikeout, no earned run performance, I think Jayson Stark said on ESPN.com.

So the Phillies will still have to score runs, more than 1-2, to win against Sabathia next time.

If nothing else, Game 1 told the Yankess that to win, they will have to play their best. This ain't the Angels or Twins. I really believe the Yankees and their fans are still stunned by last night's loss, even though the are all talking "move on" time.
