Senn CX300 alternative

Hello there, it's been a looong time since I last posted.

I've been using Sennheiser's CX300 for about two years now and I'm very happy with them. As source I mainly use my laptop and a Meizu M6.

The thing is these buds are starting to break apart, and I wanted to get something very similar in terms of comfort, but perhaps a little better in terms of quality.

What would you guys recommend, price is important, I've got 50USD to spend in new buds.

I thought of re-buying the CX300s but that's boring.

Thanks in advance,

x2 on the soundmagics. They are an extremely good value for the money. I'm amazed at how much earphone I got out of 30 bucks w/ my PL30's. Highly reccommended.

I just wanted to let you know there's a Head-Direct RE2 clearance, they're $29 now, which is not very much for these in-ears

The $40 NuForce NE-6 will give you some of the bass impact you've had with the CX-300, but it will open up the highs better than the CX-300.

Seconding the NE-6s. (Amazon)

Thanks for the input guys. I am in between the NE-6 and PL21s. Just one last thing, besided the quality of sound, are these buds sound-isolating, at least at the same level of the CX300s.

I should be safe getting either the NE-6 or PL21 from eBay right? or is it like with the CX300s that you can get a fake one?

Regards,

I just got the PL21 from focalprice.com at 21€ with shipping. I think I am getting the NE-6 aswell if I can get them for a similar price.

They are both isolating, yes. I would expect them to do a better job than the CX300, to be honest.

I don't know about buying from eBay, but I don't think SoundMagic and NuForce are as notable brands as Sennheiser so I would think the likelihood of fakes is much much lower. However, the NE-6s appear to be the same price on eBay as from the official Amazon store, so I wouldn't think it's worth the risk...
nuforce ne-6, great deals on Electronics, Computers Networking on eBay!

SoundMagic is a Chinese company, but get lots of action here on Head-fi.org. NuForce is in California, USA, and sells thru Amazon.com or directly from their e-store -- same price either way.

Oh, it looks like the eBay seller is NuForce itself, whoops
